Andreas Rickenbacher’s Profile
Andreas Rickenbacher, founder and owner of Andreas Rickenbacher Management Ltd, has many years of experience in managing private sector companies and public organizations.
Today, he is an entrepreneur as well as an experienced board member and member of boards of trustees with a focus on strategy, communication, stakeholder management and NCC. He is involved in nationally and internationally active companies.
Amongst his strengths are his analytical and interlinked thinking and approach as well as his integrity and creativity. He works in diversely composed teams and leads challenging negotiations. Furthermore, thanks to his numerous media appearances, he has strong communication skills.
After graduating from the University of St. Gallen and University of Berne in business management and political science (Master’s Degree from the University of Berne), he worked from 1992 to 1998 at GfS Research Institute in the field of empirical social research. Subsequently, he joined MCM Consultants & Partner Ltd as corporate consultant and in 2004 he founded rickenbacher projects llc (conducting projects and mandates in marketing, management, and communications).
In 2006 he was elected in the government of the Canton of Berne and acted as Head of Department of Economic Affairs until his departure from the said office in June 2016. In this function, he had the operational responsibility for a P&L of around CHF 800 million and oversaw around 1,200 employees.
